Dr. Chadda is a specialist in Periodontics and Dental Implants. A specialty in Periodontics requires an additional three years of surgical training after dental school. In addition, Dr. Chadda is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Sophia Chadda received her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University. She then attended the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1997 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While in dental school, Dr. Chadda did research involving the link between dental disease and cardiovascular disease. She then went onto UMDNJ and received her certificate in Periodontics in 2000.
Dr. Chadda is an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the New Jersey Society of Periodontists where she is the current Vice President and the Tri-County Dental Society where she is currently President. Dr. Chadda is also an Assistant Professor of Periodontics, UMDNJ Dental school.
- Dr. Chadda participates in her local community as a former member of the Bernards Township Board of Health.
- Dr. Chadda is always attending various courses and seminars to bring her patients the most recent and state-of-the-art techniques and therapies.
- Dr. Chadda is also an avid tennis player and enjoys ice skating in her spare time.
- Dr. Chadda was selected as a top dentist by New Jersey Monthly magazine in 2014 & 2015.
